Sustainability FeaturesCasita Anita includes passive sustainability features that maximize energy performance without adding significant cost:
1. Passive Solar Cooling – Breezeway, awnings and carports are placed to optimize summer shade.
2. Passive Solar Heating – Breezeway and awnings allow winter solar access.
3. Passive Ventilation - Windows are placed to promote cross ventilation and stack effect for airflow
Additional site resilience features can be space planned and added to the site plan for additional fee:4. Defensible Space - 5' raised, decomposed granite path (berm) directly adjacent to the building will prevent the spread of fire
5. Passive Water Harvesting - Basins adjacent to the berm will passively collect water from the roof for site resilient landscaping.
