Sharayah (Shay) Jimenez

Sharayah Jimenez is a 5th generation Tucsonense. She graduated from the University of Arizona’s College of Architecture, Planning and Landscape Architecture in 2009. She has spent a decade working in the architecture industry and brings experience in affordable housing development, historic preservation, and community planning with a focus on desert dwelling. She is the Principal Designer and founder of CUADRO and established the firm in order to explore sustainable solutions for the rapidly growing housing market in the American Southwest which contains some of the world’s most unique and fragile ecosystems. Shay is an active member of the local Tucson community and contributes regularly to her neighborhood association and is a member of both the City of Tucson and Pima County housing commissions.

By fostering a design/build collaboration though CUADRO, she hopes to streamline the process for the built environment in order to cut down on costs and rapidly respond to the growing demand for affordable housing. She also seeks to challenge the building industrial complex by seeking alternative solutions for conventional building processes and materials.

Wesley Fawcett Creigh

Wesley Fawcett Creigh is a multi-disciplinary artist living and working on the land currently known as Tucson, Arizona. In 2008 she completed her Bachelor’s Degree at Prescott College in the self-designed major of Public Art with an Emphasis on Social Impact. Her work aims to bring the arts into community spaces and bring overlooked issues into the forefront of a broader community dialogue. 

With over 15 years experience of working in various construction trades spanning painting to architectural restoration, Wesley is adept at applying her artistic approach to the building realm. As a visual artist she has received international recognition and acclaim for her work. Employing animation and multimedia installation for her creative projects, she explores modes of visual storytelling using a collaborative approach. She has been awarded grants and residencies from organizations such as the Arts Foundation for Tucson and Southern Arizona, The Puffin Foundation, Arizona Commission on the Arts, Springboard for the Arts, Franconia Sculpture Park, and Santa Fe Art Institute.
